Lewis H. “Pearl” Shults, 71, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Edicott, N.Y., a song of the late Gottfried Shults and Mable Shults. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Mead.

He was a cab driver and served in the armed forces during the Vietnam war.

There was no funeral service as cremation was chosen. Burial was in the Lewisburg Cemetery.

Mr. Shults is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Shults and Katjke Ellen Shults; step-daughters Edlie Harrington, Edith Wood, Edilu Hunt, Ediye Phelps and Suzanne Hillicoss, all of New York; step-sons Patrick Jospeh Lohse of Festerville, Penn., James Christopher Lohse of Union, N.J., William John Lohse of Owensboro and Michael Mead of Lewisburg; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren also survive.
