Evelyn Joyce Jenkins, 72, of Elkton, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at her home.

She was born in Todd County on March 31, 1940, a daughter of the late Alvis Knight and Leola Scott Knight. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Allen Kennedy and Donnie Joe Kennedy.

Mrs. Jenkins was retired from Emerson Electric in Russellville after 26 years. She was a member of the Stokes Chapel Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Reverend Gary Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation began at thye funeral home Thursday, Jan. 17 after 6 p.m.

She is survived by her sons, Brian Oneal (Judy) Kennedy of Russellville, Michael Kennedy of Elkton, and Johnny Wayne Tucker of Guthrie, her daughters, Debbie (John) Taylor and Marilyn (Joe) Crowder, both of Elkton, and Linda (Marty) Powell of Russellville; her brother, Doyle Knight of Elkton; 23 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
