Miss Amy Elizabeth Marsh and Mr. William Austin Clark were united in marriage in a beautiful twilight ceremony on Friday, October 12, 2012 at a quarter past five o’clock at Jennings Creek Pavilion in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The officiate was Brother Chris Holloman of Adairville, Kentucky.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Marsh, Jr. of Scottsville, Kentucky and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Sapp and Mr. and Mrs. James W. Marsh, Sr. all of Scottsville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clark of Auburn, Kentucky and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Deberry and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clark of Russellville, Kentucky.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father to the serene outdoor altar accented with a waterfall backdrop, Amy was attired in a design in alabaster satin by Maggie Sottero which featured a strapless bodice with a notched neckline and was accented with a waistband of pearls, rhinestones, and crystals and a chapel length train. Amy carried a hand tied bouquet of cognac Cala lilies interspersed with accents to match her gown and her maternal great-grandmother’s cameo gold necklace which was a gift from her husband in the early 1900’s.

Ms. Carey Leigh Marsh of Scottsville, sister of the bride, served as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Laura Townes of Lebanon, Tennessee, Ms. Erika Cummings of Bowling Green, Mrs. Angela Higgins of Bowling Green, and Ms. Lara Hudson of Louisville, Kentucky. The flower girl was Miss Riley Morgan Marsh, niece of the bride who was escorted by Master Caleb Clark, son of the groom. Each of the bride’s attendants wore floor-length satin gowns in cognac and carried hand-tied mixed bouquets of flowers in fall colors.

Mr. Ben Clark of Auburn, brother of the groom, served as the Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Michael Thomas of Russellville, Kentucky, Mr. Eric Thompson of Clifty, Kentucky, Mr. Ryan Walton of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Mr. Jason Wheeldon of Bowling Green. The ring bearers were Master Conner Clark, son of the groom, and Master James Cooper Marsh, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Mr. Justin Marsh, brother of the bride of Scottsville, Kentucky and Mr. Jonathan Townes of Lebanon, Tennessee. Bell-ringers were Miss Anniston Townes, friend of the bridal couple and Master Hayden Clark, nephew of the groom. The guest register was attended by Mrs. Paige Marsh, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Stephanie Wheeldon of Bowling Green.

Following the ceremony guests were served a buffet dinner, wedding cake, and a candy buffet at sunset at the Jennings Creek Pavilion. Music was provided by Scooter Davis of Bowling Green.

The bride is a graduate of Allen County-Scottsville High School in Scottsville, Kentucky and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Rank I in School Counseling from Western Kentucky University. She is currently employed with the Logan County Board of Education as a district curriculum consultant in Russellville, Kentucky.

Austin is a graduate of Logan County High School and currently attends Western Kentucky University majoring in Health Sciences. He is employed with McGhee Engineering as a technician in Guthrie, Kentucky.

Following a honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, Amy and Austin reside in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Amy and Austin wish to thank each person who shared in this special ceremony – each of you are a blessing to us and have influenced our lives in some way over the years from childhood to adulthood.
