Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Gillam Manda of Pleasant Hill, Mo., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Amelia Manda to John Talmage Halcomb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Halcomb of Schochoh.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Edwin Young and the late Mr. Young of Kansas City, Mo. and Mrs. Edward Arnold Manda Jr. and the late Mr. Manda of Pleasant Hill, Mo.

Sarah is a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Sarah is employed as a Recruiter/Trainer at Americo Life, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri.

John is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Richard B. Donaldson of Chattanooga, Tenn. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Frank Halcomb of Schochoh.

John is a 2003 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. John is employed with BP Biofuels in Jennings, La.

There will be a September 1st wedding at the First Presbyterian Church in Pleasant Hill, Mo. They will make their home in Lafayette, La.
