AUBURN
• Auburn Elementary School had over 250 participants in their first “Walk or Bike To School Day” on September 26th
• Calli Clark, first grade teacher, was awarded $2000 from Dollar General for her BAGS (Books and Good Stuff) program.
• Staci Hughes, kindergarten teacher, was awarded $368 from the Donors Choose Program. The money will be used to purchase items that will assist students with Autism.
• Auburn Elementary won the Jesse James 5K participation challenge with the most student participation in the walk/run event.
CHANDLERS
• Chandlers Lady Bears won their second straight district volleyball championship.
• Faith Holloway and Jesse Lashley are Chandlers Character Counts recipients for September’s word, Truthfulness.
LEWISBURG
• Lewisburg’s 3rd annual Watchdogs training was on Tuesday, September 25th. Over 100 dads and students attended and dads were trained to be volunteers and encouraged to be a visible part of the school community.
• Family Fun Night was held on Friday, September 21st, sponsored by Lewisburg’s PTO, funds were raised to purchase resources, materials and supplies and to support ‘The Leader in Me’ initiative for the school.
• Mr. Randy Marcum, principal, was elected to the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Association of School Councils.
LCHS
• LCHS had a total of 76 students seen at the dental program September 24th and 25th. They all had a screening, cleaning and sealants done.
