Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Madison Thompson of Russellville announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, to Mario M. Ibarra, son of Mr. and Mr. Hector Ibarra of Auburn.

Miss Thompson is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise Stokes of Russellville and the late Mr. Bill Stokes, and the late Ms. Emma Thompson of Russellville and Mr. Lester V. Thompson of Abingdon, Va.

Mr. Ibarra is the grandson of Mrs. Celestina Ibarra of Monterrey, Mexico, and the late Mr. Jesus Ibarra of Monterrey, Mexico, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Finn of Franklin.

Miss Thompson is a graduate of Russellville High School and received a degree in Social Work from Western Kentucky University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Social Work at Western Kentucky University. She is employed at Barren River Area Development in Bowling Green.

Mr. Ibarra is a graduate of Logan County High School and is employed by United Satellite in Auburn.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Russellville. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
