The Logan County High School boys’ basketball team took one on the chin Tuesday night in a 78-66 loss at Butler County.

The Cougars ran into a hot Bears team that had won four games in a row heading into that contest.

The loss dropped Logan County’s overall record to 5-11 on the year.

Logan County will be back in action tonight at Todd County Central in a District 13 matchup.

The Cougars beat the Rebels earlier this season, 67-64 on Dec. 14, but Todd Central comes in to the matchup relatively hot as well, having won two of its last three.

The Logan County girls’ team fell in double overtime Tuesday night, losing 52-51 at home to Hopkins County Central.

The Lady Cougars will try to get back on the winning track tonight at Todd Central as well.

The girls’ game kicks off the doubleheader at 6 p.m.

Logan County takes a 6-10 overall record into the contest, while the Lady Rebels are 8-5.

The two teams met up earlier this season in Russellville with Todd Central winning 63-58.
