Christmas greetings of peace and love

Dear Editor:

Another Holiday is upon us. The world is in chaos. Our part of the world blessedly is at peace. We have so much to be thankful for.

Loved ones visiting. Happy children. We can look to the Lord for guidance, remembering that one night long ago when a babe was born to save the world. One child who kept us all from perishing. We forget in the hustle bustle of commercial America what the teal reason for Christmas is. Sure, there’s presents, food, friends, laughter, but also there’s love, sacrifice and a savior who was born, lived and died for the sole purpose so we poor sinner would be cleaned and forgiven.

I hope when those churchbells ring this holiday season we each in our own moments stop and praise that child. Let us pray for peace at Christmas and at the New Year to come.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Lisa Romeo
