County doesn’t need $500,000 animal shelter

Dear Editor:

I am writing this in concern about the Humane Society. If anyone has rental property, they will know what I’m talking about. Animals, such as dogs and cats, cost landlords thousands of dollars every year for tearing up homes and apartments inside and out, by digging holes in yards and ruining the carpet and hardwood floors.

I think we need to put the $500,000 on other priorities, such as youth programs and senior citizens. I take seniors to the grocery adn some of them don’t even have enough money to pay for their groceries. I have given them money to finish paying for their food.

Logan County needs money for a lot of things other than the Humane Society.
