Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and good wishes for 2017. My doesn’t time fly?

Last Sunday was the final date for the Pastor Jicka as he served as interim for some time at Elk Lick Baptist Church. Last Sunday was also the first Sunday for our new pastor, Bro. Dale and Linda Hanson. They are now here as they finished moving this past Friday. We say welcome to our church family and our community.

The church always fixed fruit baskets for us older people. Bringing mine to me last Sunday were Garrison Rosser and Drew McLellan. I’ve been eating the fruit too, thanks.

In this week at different times have been Judy Jernigan. Ronnie and Cher Rosser came with some cinnamon bread, and it was delicious. Kathy Woodward, Bob Birdwhistle and George Whitson all came with gifts. Thanks so much.

In hearing from former pastor Bro. Kenny Cummins of Prinston, he has had for some time problems with his neck and back. Last week he had surgery in Nashville. He is home and feeling better. Maybe this is gonna help those problems.

Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m., Stanley came and got me and took me to his house where we had supper and after opened gifts. We had lots and lots of gifts. We had a good visit. I appreciated the gifts and visiting awhile. I had Stanley bring me back home.

Stanley brought me breakfast Christmas morning.

Lanny and Judy Jernigan enjoyed having their family Christmas lunch with Kim, Johnny and Grace and David and Stacey and girls Caitlyn, Madison and Cassidy. Judy being the nice lady she is, sent Kim, Stacey and Caitlyn down with my lunch. It was delicious.

Hope all had a merry and generous Christmas and have had a Happy New Years. I hope we all remembered the reason for the season.

The Hart family had their family time together Saturday night at the activities building.

Let’s make a New Year’s resolution to be at church every Sunday if at all possible. God will bless.

Smile God loves you.
