Man, I just love the holiday season. I am worse than any little kid when it comes to Christmas. The Daughter went to an Estate Sale during the summer and came up with a great big box of twinkle lights. Since I am so crazy about decorating, she gave them to me. Yea. So I began to wrap anything that would stand still with twinkle lights. You remember that I told you previously that we had the battle of the “Twinkle Lights” here at the lake and I just had to get in on the act. So as I sit here writing to you I can look out my window and see little twinkle lights right outside my door.
Of course since it was such a dreary day, I made a big pot of soup and I am “kicking back” watching my favorite football teams. I must say some won and some lost. The Hubby even remarked that I had such a smile on my face that he thought I might be dreaming about sugar plums in my head. My shopping is all done but not wrapped. The UPS man comes by to see me all most every day. I told him he needed a Santa Claus outfit. When you live at the lake, there really isn’t many places to shop in Dunmor. Will remind you that Santa is going to be at Wayne’s place December 17th from 2 to 4 o’clock. Come on by. Everybody will be there.
I must tell you that the Hubby and I “goofed around” and forgot to get our Flu Shot. So this past week we just both got busy and took care of that little task. I must say, I had a little discomfort. I really don’t think it was anything serious but the Hubby had to tell me it was probably because I act like a baby when it comes to shots. So if you have been “dragging your feet” and have not had your shot, then run to the nearest place that is giving the shots and get it done!
Tune in next week for my favorite recipes for Christmas. If you have one that you just love then send it to my e-mail address which is [email protected] If you don’t have a computer, then drop a copy by the News Democrat and Mr. OJ will make sure I get it.
It’s about time for me to unplug all my outdoor lights. You see most people have a timer on their lights but mine will not work! It never fails, something is always wrong with what I am trying to do. I am sure you never have this problem.
I have absolutely worn myself out enjoying the moment, putting up my blinking lights. Hope you are doing the same. Bye now and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all!
