Greetings from our small community where the most goings on are on Sunday when church is in action. We are not a big church by any means. If you are not in church, unless you are sick, why aren’t you? We would be glad to see you and hope to make you eel at home.
Jeff and Donna Scott, and Ian and Dory are back home after a few days in beautiful Florida.
Saturday as usual, Stanley and Elaine took me to town to do my Christmas shopping. We also went out to eat for my birthday, which was the 24th. I had a good time and enjoyed so much being out with them. We did this last year also. It was a good day and so tiring. Remember, I ain’t no spring chick any more. When you read this I will be 89.
While in town I saw my niece Sandra, Casey, C.J., Rachel and Tommy Shoemaker. And you know what? I can’t think of this kids name. Sorry.
After we got home knock, knock. Oh, it was Barbara Wood with a most delicious pecan pie for my birthday. Boy it was so good. Thank you, thank you. Hint, anyone else want to make me another one?
Today was “Pastor’s Appreciation Day” at Elk Lick. Ronnie, bless his heart, brought me a plate and it was great. Then Stanley brought me a plate Elaine had fixed. So I had a plate for supper too.
Now back to Christmas shopping. The time is swiftly running out. You might as well say November is just around the corner. That means Christmas is immediately following. Ready or not, it waits for no one.
