Welcome, it’s Spa time again and if you don’t know anymore than I do, you sure don’t know much.
I hear gardens are producing, however, some tomatoes are scalding int he patch. These hot, humid days are especially rough on tomatoes.
Sorry Delores Delk has been in the local hospital. I think she is back home. Hopefully she is doing lots better.
Sorry James Fuller was in a wreck one day last week. By one of God’s miracles he was not hurt of killed, which could have happened easily. Whoever ran the red light and caused all the trouble- hey, watch what you are doing okay?
Bless Martha Harris, she brought me some more of that sweet corn. It is really good.
Got a call on Thursday from cousin Shirley G. Price in Owensboro. They are doing well and gardening some but not as much as usual. He said they do a lot of canning each year.
Mitchell and Heather Johnson and Jenny are in the mountains and will be back home before this is in print. They seem to be having a great time.
David and Stacey Jernigan and Cassidy have also been in the mountains. I’m sure they had a good time also.
If for some reason you are unable to go to church, there are several good preachers on the t.v. on Sundays. I don’t say make a practice of not going, just go if you can. Hopefully you will be blessed and maybe a blessing to someone else.
Remember next Sunday the 26th is homecoming day at Elk Lick. Hope you can come. You will be able to hear great singing at 10 a.m. from the Sneed Family. At 11 a.m. you will be able to hear good preaching by former pastor Bro. Reed Buntin of Nashville. Hopefully Debbie will be with him. There will be a potluck lunch after the services. Bring a dish and join us.
Remember school is here, so watch out for those big yellow buses as they are hauling our precious children. Sometimes they don’t watch very carefully, so beware.
Until next time, have a good week. See ya!
