Greetings from the Antioch Baptist Church community.
The temperatures sure have changed. Seems like fall is here and winter not far behind. I dread the cold weather.
I sure do thank Elk Lick Baptist Church for the delicious supper that Gary brought me Friday night. It sure was good.
Our cousin Sherry Harris drove down from Louisville Saturday. Sherry, Hazel, Sue, James and myself all met at Shady Cliff restaurant and ate lunch together. Sue and James left the restaurant and attended the 50th wedding anniversary of Bro. Ray and Sharon Gilliland.
Sherry went to Glory Bound church Saturday night with Sue and James. They had a wiener roast, hayride and singing. She spent the night with Hazel and left early Sunday morning to get home for church. She plays the piano at her church.
We had the dedication last night for the new pavilion. It has been names the “I am Center.” Our fish fry will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. of weather permits. It will be held at the pavilion The community is invited to come.
The senior outing will be on Oct. 21. We will be going to Patti’s in Grand Rivers. We will leave the church at Antioch at 10 a.m. Had a nice lady to call today and she and her sister-in-law wanted to go with us. Our church pays for the gas, but each one is responsible to pay for their lunch.
Ernie brought m a big jar of tops last week and Bro. Keith and Bobbie Burnette brought me a bag full all the way from Russellville. Wasn’t that nice? We are so thankful to all who have helped us.
November the 6th is time to run your clocks on hour.
Jennifer said Sunday that our church had 94 Christmas Shoe Boxes. We are hoping to get 100.
Our Faith is good if it’s in the right Person.
Have a good week.
