Greetings from The Antioch Community.
I would like to invite you to our Revival which will start Sunday the 25th through the 28th. We will have a different preacher and singers each service. Bro. Jimmy Kenner, B.J. Minor, Frank Kend, Tim Nugent and Gary Oberhausen will be the preachers. We will have a Pot Luck lunch on Sunday morning after the service.
Our seniors enjoyed the outing Friday. We ate lunch at L&R Soda Fountain. Then we went to the Jefferson Davis Monument and museum. Some went up in the monument and some of us would not go. We left there and drove around and enjoyed the scenery. Melba drove the church bus. Others going were Marcie, JoAnn, Patty, Dolores, Avanel, Jeanie, Tammy, two little great grandsons and myself.
We had a great time at the reunion on Saturday. We had 44 present. Andy Johnson came from Missouri and we had some from Louisville. We really had lots of good eats, which we enjoyed very much. We just have four cousins living on the Wilhite side and we were all there. We’ve had so many of our group that have passed away.
For our Senior outing in October, we are going to Patti’s in Grand River. We will depart the church at 10 a.m. Come and go with us, we would like to have a bus full.
We will have a community fish fry on October 15th. Please come and join us.
We are still collecting plastic bottle caps. Marie Epley sent me a bag full by Jimmy Christian. Thank. We sure do appreciate them.
We are still working on our Operation Christmas Shoe Box. We hath to have them ready by October 30th. If you don’t want to fix a shoe box, you can Jennifer some money to pay the cost to ship them.
We are collecting change for our barrel to go to the Fisher House at Fort Campbell. They provide a temporary “Home away from home” where military families can be close to a loved one receiving medical treatment at the hospital there for an illness or injury. So don’t forget to save your change and you can put bills in the barrel too.
Prayer is simply an honest conversation with God.
