Greetings from The Antioch Community.
I’m sorry that I missed writing the Antioch news for the last two weeks.
My Brother-in-law, Louis Schmidt, from Branson, Mo., called me last week. It was good to talk to him. He is doing okay, he said. We sure do miss our late sister.
Marcie Patterson and I attended the Logan Todd WMU Quarterly meeting last week. It was hosted by the Oak Grove Baptist Church. They had a good program. Three you teenagers from Elkton Baptist Church showed slides and talked about their mission trip. The meal was a salad dinner with desserts. Everything was delicious.
Was glad to see Mrs. Barbara Clements on Wednesday of last week at Dairy Queen restaurant. I hadn’t seen her in years.
I enjoyed Feedback with Don and Bro. Wilbur Powell last week.
Dolores Harris visited with Vickie Gregory and family on Sunday night. Jewel Wayne Johnson was there also. They had some relatives that came from Maryland. They hadn’t seen them for some time. Vickie cooked the meal for them and Delores said it was very good.
Vanessa had to work Sunday night, so they came up to Dolores’ on Monday morning to see Vanessa.
We have two members of our church in the hospital: Ms. Mae White and Mrs. Rosie Yarnell. Remember them in your prayers.
Some July birthdays are – Brandi Everette 8, Bradley McKinney 10, J.V. Jenkins 13, Richie Flewallen 15, Gail Sears 16, Juanita Key 17, Roy Flewallen 25, Natalie Jessup 27 and Jimmy Christian 30th. Hope each one has a Happy Birthday.
The Lord may calm your storm, but more often He’ll calm you.
Have a Good Week.
