Hello! We have had several rainy days and nights this week. I guess some were grateful for it and others felt like they didn’t need it.
Dick Dickerson was in the hospital a few days last week. Hope he is feeling much better.
Cathy Basham had knee surgery this past week and the last I heard she was doing well. Hope it isn’t long till she can be lots better.
We have a new looking building at the church, the catch-all building has a new roof and siding. Lynwood was here on Tuesday and he stopped and watched a few minutes. Working was Terry Hart and Richard Stewart. It shows up real good.
As I said, Lynwood Montell WKU retired professor was here, so here we go. We went 106 east, hit old Quality Road, went a few miles on a road named Dallams Creek. So we go that-a-way on Coopertown Road, finally coming out at Brady’s stretch, which joins old 431. We then headed towards Lewisburg and ate at Webb’s. We yelled at Lisa and soon had our food. So we had a good day.
Then Thursday Julie called and asked if I wanted to go to Webb’s to eat with her and Marvine. So of course I did. So away to Webb’s again. We had a good supper.
Tara left Saturday at 6 p.m. with a group of 20 for Haiti and will return next Sunday morning back in Greenville. Hope they have a good trip.
James Fuller came by Saturday afternoon with some peaches and they were really good.
Sunday was the 136th anniversary in the history of Elk Lick Church. I understand we were counted and 101 were present. The Gregg McDougal family were the singers, with former pastor Bro. Glynn Copeland as speaker of the day. Sue was with him and after the service, lunch was enjoyed in the fellowship hall.
See ya next time.
