Hello! It is Saturday that I am writing this. My how times flies by. Hope you had a great week. One day this past week Curtis Coursey brought me a big sack of yellow tomatoes. I think they are my favorite. However, I will not refuse to take the red ones either. To repeat, I think tomatoes are my favorite thing to eat.
I talked to Eulene Delk this past week. Joe is now home after a 30 day stay at the local hospital. While there, he had 4 different surgeries, and he is finally home. She said the doctors and nurses both said he was one of God’s miracles. Amen. He does more miracles then sometimes we give Him credit for.
Our sympathy to the family of the late Mr. Howard Danks, who reached the age of 104. My, my don’t you know in his lifetime he has seen many changes.
Our sympathy to JoAnn Parrish and the rest of the family in the death of her husband Virgil Parrish. When we all lived at Green Ridge, we were all good friends. Since they moved to town I hardly ever saw them. But remember, God loves you.
Our sympathy to Candace Cornelius in the death of her mom. Her services were Sunday afternoon in another county.
Well I did a first one Saturday morning. I usually keep a mouse trap just in case I get a mouse. Well I got myself caught in one and it hurt. I thought it would never quit. Then Sunday morning Stanley did the same thing. Ouch, they hurt.
Dick Dickerson wants us to meet at his house on August 2nd for a picnic. I’d guess 11 to 11:30 a.m. for lunch. Bring whatever you want. We will have a good visit, as well as eats. He has such an interesting house, so come and enjoy.
Remember kids went back to school and the buses are on the roads. School has begun for the kids, teachers and others. Be especially careful.
This past Sunday, July 30 was homecoming at the Elk Lick Church. We had singing and special preaching from former pastor Br. Glynn Copeland. We appreciate all who came.
Have a good week and see ya later.
