Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Sure glad my cousin Joe Delk finally got to go home from the Hospital. He sure had a long stay.
I talked to Myrtle Pogue on Friday night. She said she wasn’t doing any good. She had fell, but didn’t break any bones, but the doctor said she was bruised real bad.
Dr. Larry Gotts was on the Feedback Program last Thursday. Had a good program. Be sure and tune in each third Tuesday morning. You can get your questions answered free. I sure do appreciate the good doctor doing the Feedback show. He and Don make a good couple to answer your questions.
We will be having Homemade Ice Cream along with dessert Sunday night in the Fellowship Hall followed by a movie.
We are starting Christmas in August, the Samaritan Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box. Jennifer Delk is in charge of this project. It cost seven dollars postage to mail a show box.
She fixes a lot of shoe boxes, so she needs help to pay the postage. You can also fix a shoe box. They need notebooks, pencils, pencil trimmers, colors, coloring books, Ivory soap, wash cloth, tooth paste, toothbrush, a toy. The boys like balls, the girls like dolls. They also like stuffed animals.
Master Clay Kenner celebrated his first birthday on Saturday, July 23rd. I think his grandparents Bro. Jimmy and Penny came home for the occasion.
Some August birthdays are Donno Yarnell 5, Peggy Taylor 5, cousin Charlie Delk 6, Margaret Walton 15, my granddaughter Terrika 20, my brother-in-law Louie Schmidt 21, Jean Thornberry 22, Loretta Sears 23, Carolyn Williams 12. Mine will be the 30th. I will turn 88. Glad to have been here all these years.
Sorry to hear that the correspondent Dick isn’t feeling very good at this time.
God is always in control behind the scenes, even on “ordinary” days.
Have a Good Week.
