Hello from our little community, where we still have our church. If you are a member or someone without a church home, we need you! We have plenty of rooms, so come on. To repeat… we need you and you need a church family.
Glenn Porter heard the first katydid on the first day of July. You know how the old saying goes. It will frost in 3 months, which will mean in October.
I’ve had goodies brought to me this week. On Monday Martha Harris brought cucumbers and I made freezer pickles. She also brought me corn and squash. On Wednesday Bev Whitson brought corn, squash and some ripe tomatoes. They were good.
Did you know, the way I fry my stuff? I dip them in beaten egg, use flour or meal, spray my pan and then put the squash or cucumbers in the pan. I also spray them with Pam, then put them in mu little oven and cook them. This way I don’t have all the grease or oil, which ever you use to fry. It’s a real good substitute for frying.
We have had a lot of rain this week. From the news, a lot of places have had it even more then we have. At least we have not had the floods or storms like a lot of places have and at least we should be thankful for God does bless.
Some known July birthdays are the 7th Bob Birdwhistle, the 15th Leo Duncan and Michaela Sweeney, the 16th Wayne Jenkins, the 17th Audrey Webb, the 19th Dr.Michael Koller, the 29th are our twins Derek Johnson and Amber O’Dell. Hope all have enjoyable days.
Didn’t make it to church this past Sunday. Not up to par. Hopefully by next week I’ll be feeling better.
So far I know no one in the church family that is in the hospital, which is good news.
When you see a policeman, fireman or any of the people that help take care of us in anyway, tel them a special “thank you.” It will let them know that we do appreciate them. They are our friends in more ways then we may think.
Hope you have a good weekend. God loves you. And as Tulip Green says… bye now!
