Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Well, hello to everyone.. This old lady had a very bad week last week. I had so much pain in my foot that this old gal cried and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Went to the E.R. and got two shots and orders to stay off it. If you never have had gout, I hope you never do.
Our Homecoming at Antioch was held Sunday. Had good singing by “Breaking Ground.” Had a good good crowd and a delicious meal after the worship hour. Was glad to have several visitors. I didn’t get to go. I couldn’t wear a show on my foot.
The trip for Seniors to Owensboro on Friday was canceled because so many were sick and not able to go. So maybe we will have better luck in June.
Kick off for VBS will be 5 to 8 p.m. on June 11th at Antioch Baptist Church. The VBS will be Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday night on June 12th. Then 13-15 will be 6-8 p.m.
We invite you to come bring your children. If you are willing to help, it would be much appreciated.
We are glad to report that Patty Campbell is home after spending several days in the Medical Center in Bowling Green. We hope she keeps improving each day.
Had a call from Zelma Cundiff. She said she read in my column where we were saving plastic caps and tops for our church. She is going to get her friends to save them for us. That was sweet music to our ears. If anyone would like to save them for us, we sure would appreciate it.
Three of our TOPS members have or had birthdays in May. They are Dolores, Ms. Lucy who turned 92 years young and Sharon, our leader.
He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
Have a good week.
