Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Our cousin, Sherry Harris came down last week from Louisville on Monday and returned home on Wednesday morning. Hazel was having water problems, so we went to my sister’s, Sue Fuller, on Tuesday and had lunch. Those present were Sherry Harris, Hazel Fleming, Carrie, Olivia, Shawn, Brett and Luke Fuller and myself. We had a good lunch and enjoyed being together. James was sick and not feeling good that day.
Enjoying Spring Break from school was Travis, Christie, Payton and Corbin Chick as they flew to Fort Carson, Colorado to visit with their son, Jordan and wife faith, who are stationed there at Fort Carson. His grandma, Sheila Christian, went with them. She said they really had a good time and saw many beautiful sights. Sheila said that Jordan and Faith were so happy to see them. We are thankful that they had a safe flight out there and back home.
Melba Gibbs went to Florida during Spring Break and her granddaughter Madison Thornberry went with her.
Always enjoy having Gerald Hildabrand on Feedback with Don. He was on Friday. My soon took me to Lewisburg to the store and I didn’t get to hear all the program. Thanks Gerald for dedicating the Gospel song to me. My friends told me, even though I didn’t get to hear it.
Our number was down at church Sunday as we had some out because of Spring Break.
We were so happy to have Juanita Key at church Sunday morning. She said it had been three months since she was able to be there.
Tammy Sears did the special Sunday morning.
Myrtle Pogue got to leave the hospital last week and return to Creekwood for rehab.
Martha Sears is in the Medical Center with a heart problem. I think she is facing surgery. Please remember all the sick in your prayers.
Sherry Harris visited with Dolores Harris on Monday.
Lord, please give me the wisdom and strength to know when to walk away from situations and people that tempt me to do wrong.
Have a good week.
