Greetings from The Antioch Community.

Hope you had a Blessed Easter Sunday and remembered that we were celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Our choir did the special music Sunday morning as we sang some Easter melodies. We just had two Sundays to practice on them, but they said we did good.

We were glad to have some visitors at church Sunday morning.

We were glad to have the new baby at church Sunday morning with his parents. His name is Marshall Camden Forgy. He was born March 12, 2016. Weighed eight pounds, 10 ounces. He sure was a cutie. His parents are Shelby and Clyde Forgy. His Grandparents are James and Cynthia Thornberry, great grandmother Melba Gibbs and great great grandmother Juanita Key.

The kids ages 2-10 enjoyed an egg hunt Saturday afternoon in the yard and parking lot.

Our Seniors enjoyed going to the Fish House in Springfield, Tenn., on the 18th.

The Senior Adults outing in April will be to the Catfish Dock in Powderly on Friday the 15th. Anyone is welcome to go with us. We depart church at 10 a.m.

Myrtle Pogue has had a heart attack. So remember her and all the sick in your prayers.

My cousin, Omanell Robertson, called me Sunday afternoon from Florida. Her health isn’t as well as it was.

We were glad to have a visitor with us at Tops on Wednesday morning. She was Lybia Simpson from Hopkinsville. She is the leader of their Tops Club in Hopkinsville. She was out visiting different Tops groups to see what they did.

You are welcome to join our group Tops KY 466 Russellville. We meet each Wednesday morning in the Dining Room at Logan Memorial Hospital. You can weigh in from 9-9:30 a.m. The lesson is from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. We have 12 members. We are a friendly group of ladies and we will do all we can to help you and encourage you.

The Tops by-laws do not allow any smoking, drinking or using bad language. Our leader is Sharon Gargill and very knowledgeable. She would be so glad to have some new members.

Pam Billingsly and Patty Campbell are the ladies who weigh you. Kay Gardner is our secretary. Lila Edwards is our treasurer. I (Louise Henderson) am the one in charge of sending cards. We send birthday, get well and sympathy cards.

Nick and Stephanie hosted the Easter dinner at their home Saturday night for the Christian family.

An Easter dinner was held Sunday in the home of Trevoe and Emily Christian for her family. Sheila and Jimmy also attended.

We send sincere sympathy to the family of Carson Inscoe.

Lord Jesus, open our eyes to see you, the risen Christ, alongside us at work in the circumstances of our lives today.

Have a good week.
