Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Sorry that might items are late this week. We had to fix food for two families that had lost a member of their family. So I had to cook some food Monday morning and go to the funeral home.
Tammy Sears and Loretta Sears did the special at church on Sunday.
There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for children 2-10 years of age on Saturday, March 26 at 2 p.m. at the church. We are asking for adults to bring plastic eggs filled with candy to church. Place them in the tote in the foyer.
Please remember to save your plastic bottle caps for us, as we want to get a bench for the church. It takes several pounds to get the bench.
Thanks to those who gave money for the Gideons to buy Bibles. We received $635 at Antioch.
We would like to invite you to come to our Tops Club 466 in Russellville if you need to lose a few pounds. We meet each Wednesday morning in the dining room of Logan Memorial Hospital from 9-20 a.m. Sharon Gargillis our leader. We are a friendly group of ladies and we will do our best to help you and to make you feel welcome.
Dr. Larry Gotts was on Feedback this morning (Tuesday) with Don. They had a very interesting program as they always do. Thanks very much for the good Doctor to take time out of his busy schedule to do the Feedback program. I’m sure everyone appreciates the free information. If you don’t listen to the program, please tune in to WRUS at 9:05 a.m. on each third Tuesday of each month. I believe you will enjoy the program and you might even have a question for the good doctor that you would like to have an answer for. Dr. Gotts and Don are two very special guys.
Myrtle Pogue very much appreciated the food that was brought to her house as her family was there to eat due to the death of her brother, Elmer White. So she would like to thank everyone who brought food. Her brother, Oscar Lewis and wife Joyce White spent the night with her Monday. They were to return home to Ohio on Tuesday.
We send heartfelt sympathy to the Family of Elmer White, who Funeral was Monday at Price Funeral Home.
Also, we send heartfelt sympathy to the family of Christine White, whose funeral was held Saturday morning at the Antioch Baptist Church. A large crowd attended the Funeral. A meal was served following the funeral for the family and friends in the fellowship hall at Antioch Baptist Church.
Lord, I come to you with the confidence that you will fill me with what I need. God’s love is abundant.
The word at church Sunday was that Cheryl Flewallen might get to leave the hospital on Tuesday and come home. Remember her in your prayers. She sure has had her share of having surgery.
Have a good week and be safe.
