Our sympathy to Howard Wayne, Glenda and Connie and their families in the death this past week of their mom Kay Kisselbaugh. Her services were Wednesday. Her husband Warren, who passed away several years ago, and Bob were first cousins. I know she will be greatly missed.
Bev Whitson is back home after visiting daughter Julie and Brian and missy Finley (better known as Cricket) in Memphis. I know she enjoyed the trip.
Dr. Lynwood Montell, retired professor of WKU was down Friday, so as usual we got out and road around. I don’t know all of where we were, we found roads we had not ever been on, several in Todd County. We have the best time. Of course we always have to stop at the Ranger Grill and eat. They serve good eats. Then we headed home. We do this at least once each month.
I think garden goodies are beginning to be ready to eat. I got some squash and cucumbers this week. They sure taste good.
I went to church this morning and filling the pulpit was Bro. Steve Pendley and his wife Kathy was with him. I thought he did a good job. We were up a few in S.S. with 60 in attendance. Come and join us.
Got a call today from a cousin in Florida, ans she is Uncle Anders daughter Omanel Roberson. She lives with her son Terry and wife there. She seemed to be feeling very well. Always good to hear from her.
Friday night was “Come to our table” supper night and it was good. We had fried chicken, green beans, corn and apple crisp. As I said, it was very good. Claudia Hart brought mine. Thanks.
Eating breakfast Saturday morning with Granny Virginia Hart were son Jerry from up the road and with him was great-grandson Layne and granddaughter Maranda Hart and son Ronny from Greenville. All had a good time.
I know Wednesday is the 1st of July and the 4th on Saturday, so be careful as you celebrate the day. I expect it to be a quiet day around here.
We still have 3 beautiful kittens. Want 1 or 2?
See ya next time, okay?
