Howdy! How was your week? At least it has not been so cold this week. Some beautiful days. And when it gets cold again, we will complain that we are freezing. At least we will be complaining again and again.
Sorry to hear Rufus Coursey in in the local hospital. Also, Drexel Johnson, our magistrate. Hope both are soon feeling much better and back home.
And I hear Lana Wells remains in a Nashville hospital. Hope she can soon be better and back home as well.
Bless Zelma Cundiff’s heart, she was out Monday in the terrible weather delivering “good cheer.” She brought me some potato soup and a beautiful coconut cake. She also visited Virginia Hart, Hester Martin and Vicki Gregory (with food for her dad Jewell Wayne Johnson), and I don’t know who else. Many thanks gal, it was great of you to do all this.
On Saturday, Judy Jernigan picked me up and we drove to Slappyz in Russellville. We met Kathryn Stuart, Betty Lasiter and Martine Brown in order to celebrate Martine’s birthday, which was actually on Friday. We had god eats and a good time visiting.
According to the church bulletin we have a new baby within the church family. On February 18th, weighing in at 6 lbs and 2 ozs and 20 inches long, was Will David Atkinson. His parents are J.D. and Morgan Atkinson. He has an older brother Lane and 3 sisters, Olivia, Naomi and Charlotte to help keep him entertained. His grandparents are Jerry and Claudia Hart and his greats are Virginia hart and Rufus Coursey.
Maybe we can get through another week without any missed days at school.
One day this past week the temp got up to 73, which is very unusual for February. Now when it gets cold again we will complain we are freezing won’t we?
Judy Jernigan brought my lunch Sunday morning as she was on her way to church. I appreciate it and it was good.
I was gonna go to church, but the weather man kept saying rain, and as David comes and gets me in the wheelchair, I was afraid we’d get wet so I decided to stay in.
Until next time, stay safe and happy!
