Greetings from The Antioch Community.
The weather sure turned cold on us, didn’t it? The snow was pretty. Glad we just had a little.
My brother-in-law, James Fuller, has been in the hospital a week today (Monday). He had pneumonia. His doctor told him Sunday that he could come home today. My sister Sue Fuller has been staying with him during the day and spending the night in the Hospitality House. She said it is really nice.
Hazel Fleming also spent some time in the Medical Center last week. Seems like a lot of sickness is going around.
Enjoyed a call from my good friend Jeanie Gregory last week.
We will be having the Brown Family from Bowling Green singing for us at Antioch on 5th Sunday night January 31st. Our music director, J.V. Jenkins says they are really good.
We invite you all to come and enjoy this good Gospel singing. We will have finger foods following the song service.
Paulette Hadden came to Antioch Sunday night and she sang a special for us. She is really good. She said she would like to come back for the 5th Sunday night singing. So I’m sure you will get to see her sing too.
We had our W.O.M. last night with only five people present. They were Karen Christian, Melba Gibbs, Marcie Patterson, Avanell Clardy and myself.
Our Seniors will be going to the Golden Coral in Clarksville, Tenn., Friday the 15th if weather permits. We will depart the church at 10 a.m.
There will be a W.M.U. book study on Jan. 18 at the Baptist Building. Pot luck lunch will follow with soup, salad, sandwich and dessert.
God has a purpose and plan for me that no one else can fulfill.
Have a good week.
