Here we are again, saying the same old thing to our friends that we said last year, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
As I sit here at the Daughters house, my mind wanders back to all the things that happened to me this past year and of course I am wondering what on earth is going to happen in my life this coming year. I really am glad we can’t tell the future, sometimes I just don’t want to know. Even if I knew what was going to happen, I wouldn’t be able to change it. So I think I will be satisfied living life as it comes.
I guess you people have noticed that we have had just A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN LATELY. My latest past time was watching all the things float by my house in the lake. Also, it was really cute watching the water move up my front steps. I was busy texting my neighbor pictures of his heavy metal furniture he left in the yard and how the water was creeping up over the seats and almost covering it completely. You see I promised to look after his house since they are not there in the winter. Then all of a sudden a big old pontoon just turned up out in front of our house. It is really funny to see an unmanned pontoon, just bobbing up and down every time the wind blew. It finally caught on my neighbors dock and it looks like they tied it up. I suppose it will stay there until spring. There is only one other item I will mention. I have a paddle boat turned upside down resting in our driveway. I finally found out that it belonged to my neighbor. So I told them to just let it rest there until spring!
I am going to go out on a limb and predict that we are NOT GOING TO HAVE A BAD WINTER! I heard so many “old timers” telling me about the wooly worm and all that stuff. After I told my prediction to few of them, once again they looked at me like I came from another planet. I would simply say, I have this feeling that Mother Nature would not punish us again. She needs to move on to another part of the world, like “NEVER NEVER LAND”. Their reply was……YEA RIGHT. I don’t think they believe that I have any influence with her at all. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
I will tell you I left my Christmas tree, decorations and all, right where they were on Christmas Day. I bet there is not one person that will drop by and take them all down for me while I am gone. So if you drive by next spring in your fishing boat and see my Christmas tree in the window, then you will just say to yourself, there’s that old TG still enjoying the moment. Till next time, love to you all. Bye now.
