Enjoying breakfast Saturday morning with Mrs. Virginia Hart were 2 of her boys Jerry from up the road and Ronny from Greenville.
We are having some much cooler days. This morning (Saturday) the low of the morning was 24, so very unpleasant. But according to the calendar winter does not start till next week. So of course we will have colder weather. We do not have Frymire’s report anymore, so we do not have any predictions. We will know after the fact.
A special “Happy Birthday” to Chris Cooper. She arrived on the 27th and must have got here to late for ole Santa that year. But she is a joy to know and love.
Got a call last week from our cousin Omanel Robertson of Florida. She seemed to be feeling very well. Like the rest of us, she is just not as young as we once were. She is 94 I think. Miss always hearing from her. She lives with her son Terry and family there.
Elaine, Stanley and Tara meet at the activities building at the Hazel Creek Saturday for time together with Elaine’s side of the family. Her mom, Louise Carver and the 6 siblings, and other family members for a total of 36. I believe Elaine said the 4 girls and 2 brothers, and others of the family had a good time eating and having fellowship together.
We had 65 in Sunday school this morning, and the cantata for the morning service. We had some visitors. It’s always god to have visitors. And the church had some Christmas baskets and I got one. I’m so proud of it. Many thanks. I think the deacons are responsible for this each year.
Stopping in a while Saturday were cousin Sue and James Fuller and Judy Jernigan. On Sunday coming to get me for church was David Jernigan. Bringing me home was Ronnie Rosser. Those boys are really good to see I get to church and back home. They are very good at their job.
When this comes out in the mail Christmas will have happened. Hope all remembered the reason for the season. Hope you all had a good time.
See ya next year, and have a happy new year.
