A special Merry Christmas to O.J. and Chris and the workers at the ND&L, and all readers of the paper. Remember the “reason for the season” as we celebrate the miracle of Christ’s birth and death and resurrection. Ahh, the miracle we celebrate at this special time.
Bob Morris, brother to Martine Brown and Bro. Kinnith Morris of Hopkinsville, died last Saturday in Missouri. His services were conducted in that city Wednesday of this week. Martine, daughter Rozena and husband Pat Stanley left Russellville Tuesday to attend visitation, as well as the services Wednesday morning. Then they came back home. Our sympathy to the family.
My Sunday school class, the TruthSeekers, met at Shady Cliff Saturday night for our Christmas party. Those attending were Joyce and Kenneth Chapman, Beverly and Nelson Harris, Lois Anne and Bill Cornelius, Ada and Joe Dorris, Hester Martin and myself. Our special guest was interim pastor Bro. David and Brenda Jicka. We had of course good eats and a good time visiting together. Thanks to Joe and Ada for seeing that I got there. And we got to see who had drawn our names after opening our gifts.
As usual, I managed to spill my glass of water. I did that same thing 4 or 5 years ago at our party…yuck.
We are having some beautiful weather, in the 70’s. When it does really get cold, we will think we are freezing wont’ we?
Keep a happy smile on your face and remember, we are celebrating the time of Jesus’s birthday. Merry Christmas and have a happy new year.
