It is Saturday and a drizzly day and a quiet chilly, miserable day. Hopefully Sunday will be better.
I’ve been in all weekend with this kind of weather. I dread getting out.
Do you know anything going on? I don’t seem to. As I said, I haven’t been out. Stanley has been in school all week and Elaine has been at her job at the hospital. So far as I know of, none of our church family is there. I don’t know of anyone in the hospital, which means good news. Maybe no one needs that kind of care.
Saturday night Elaine’s side of the family had their Thanksgiving family time in hazel Creek fellowship hall. It is really a beautiful place. There were approximately 45 there. There were a lot of eats and a good time was had by all.
Then Sunday after services at Elk Lick, the potluck lunch was much enjoyed. There is always so much food, seems hard to get many different things because you can’t eat it all. But it was good.
I understand school will be out Wednesday for the rest of the week. And if I understand it right, isn’t Friday now termed “Black Friday?” I plan on staying in because it seems that is the day the public goes wild.
If you are out be sure to be extra careful. And sure enough how time will fly till Christmas.
Today was the first Sunday with Bro. David and Ms. Brenda Jicka as our interim pastor. So welcome to the community.
See ya next time.
