Greetings from The Antioch Community.
Did you remember to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night?
Our revival ended Wednesday night. Bro. Tim Nugent sure was a wonderful Preacher. He and his wife Penny had such a sweet spirit. They were real easy to love. Hope we get to have them back some time.
We also had some good singing. Chris Epley sang Sunday morning and Cheryl Flewallen played a piano solo. Mt. Pleasant choir sang Saturday night. Meleea Reno sang Monday night with a young man playing the guitar for her. Our own Tammy Sears sang too. The Mt. Pleasant Quartet sang Tuesday night and our own Melba Gibbs sang Wednesday night. They had pizza for the youth. We had a large group of youth. We had 110 attend Sunday night, 59 on Monday night, 68 on Tuesday night and 101 on Wednesday night.
We had Trunk or Treat on Saturday night. It was so cold and raining that they moved it into the Fellowship Hall. The children were so pretty, dressed up in their costumes. They had chili and hot dogs to eat.
I had a call from Faye McPhaill. Said her name wasn’t spelled right in the paper. So hope it is spelled right this time.
Talked to my cousin, Omanell Robertson, in Florida. I believe she said it was 80 degrees.
We will have Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Bring your favorite dish of food and join us.
Our senior citizens will be going to Shady Cliff Restaurant on Nov. 20th. Melba Gibbs will be driving the church bus. we will leave the church at 10 a.m,.
We sure were glad that Rosie Yarnell was able to come to the Revival. Was good to see her.
We can go a lot further together than we can alone.
Have a good week.
