It’s been a chilly last few days, guess trying to get us adjusted and ready for colder weather. Yet the days have been beautiful, so enjoy.
Will start out with some known birthdays. Don Neagle’s was on the 3rd and Mark Pitchford on the 6th, Kaitlyn Jernigan and Alicia Johnson are on the 8th, Courtney Barrow the 9th, Joyce Hardison the 13th, Dolly McGuire and Ben Mohon the 15th. A special guy’s day is Dr. Kamal Singh, he is our family doctor and his is the 17th. Then there is Myron Gower on the 18th, Tammy Cummins of the 24th, Steve Gregory, Cher Rosser and Jeff White the 27th, and Chris Johnson.
Some known anniversaries are Stanley and Elaine on the 1st, Jeff and Sheila Barrow on the 4th, Robbie and Autry Moore on the 15th and Tom and Audrey Webb on the 22nd. Hope all have special days.
A special day is what I had Friday when Judy Jernigan picked me up and we drove to Webb’s and met Kathryn Stuart and Martine Brown to celebrate my 88th birthday, which I really, really enjoyed. The crowd sang happy birthday to me and that Kathryn had a cake baked with of course “happy birthday Haze;” on top of it. It was most delicious. And she even paid for my lunch, wasn’t that sweet? So of course I had a great day.
Stanley and Elaine went to Chattanooga and rode a train for their special day. I threatened to go with them, as I have never ridden a train. Oh well, I’ll just wish for it later.
Our sympathy to Terrill Rager and family in the death of his wife Joan.
Sorry Virginia had the misfortune to fall in her concrete garage one day recently and banged herself up enough to go to the ER and get treated. She bled so badly and to say the least I’m sure she is terribly sore. Hope she is soon feeling better.
We had Bro. David Jicka and wife Brenda with us at Elk Lick this morning. We had I think 69 in Sunday school.
Visiting one day this week with me awhile was Kathy Woodward of Epley. It was good to see her. It had been some time since I had seen her.
For the last several years, Jeannie Slaughter has saved me a bunch of green tomatoes, and usually I have ripe tomatoes on Christmas. Well, they are all wrapped up and set. Hopefully as usual, they will slowly ripen. I sure do enjoy friend green tomatoes.
Until next time, have a good week. Keep happy and healthy.
