Greetings from The Antioch Community.

Visiting with Dolores one day was her grandson, Zeke Harris.

Some ladies from Antioch attended the Season of Harvesting Baptist Women Luncheon on Saturday at Elkton Baptist Church. We sure enjoyed the day and the food the ladies from Elkton Baptist Church prepared.

Sisterhood Drama was presented by Sandra Hartlieb and Nora Pritchett. They performed “Naomi and Ruth.” Scripture was Ruth 1:1-22. Then “Elizabeth and Mary” Scripture Luke 1:11-64 and 1 Samuel 2:1-10. And then the “Samaritan Woman” Scripture John 4:1-30. These ladies were wonderful. They are from Indiana. They stayed in the Mission House in Russellville.

Amanda Bassingthwaite did the special music and she was great.

Our speaker was Linda Cooper, the 23rd President of the National WMU. She was great too. If you were not there, you missed a blessing.

Our Revival at Antioch began Sunday morning with Bro. Tim Nugent. He sure brought some good messages. Chris Epley sang a special. Cheryl Flewallen played a Piano Solo. Bro. Tim, wife Penny, and their daughter sang just before he preached. They sure were good too.

After the worship hour, we had a meal in the Fellowship Hall, which was enjoyed by all.

Sunday night, we had a double blessing. Mt. Pleasant Church dismissed their service and came to Antioch to support their pastor. What a crowd. We had a church full. Bro. Larry Vaught and the Mt. Pleasant choir sang for us and they were wonderful. Got to see so many people that I don’t get to see very often. It was a wonderful day. We had several visitors Sunday morning.

They were celebrating my son’s birthday on Sunday, so he came after me when I got home from church and I went down there and enjoyed seeing all the family, especially my great-great grandson. He has really growed. Will turn one year old in November.

Happy birthday to some in November. Melba Gibbs 1, my granddaughter Michele Henderson 2, my great grandson Eli HEnderson 2, Regan Christian 8, Brook Thornberry 11, Jeff Fuller 13, Michael Christian 14, Terry Coursey 15, my great-great grandson Shawn Brown 18, Lisa Statton 25, Mark Thornberry 26. Sure hope each one has a happy birthday.

Some that are having anniversaries are Jimmy and Terry Coursey 6, Mike and Tammy Sisco 6, James and Cynthia Thornberry 8. Have a special day.

Myrtle Pogue isn’t doing as well. Randal McKinney is very sick. Remember these in your prayers.

We will observe the Lord’s Supper on Nov. 1st at 6 p.m.

The World Day of Prayer will be held Nov. 2 at Bellview Baptist Church. Pot luck lunch will follow.

Mark and Kay Thornberry are in need for blankets for the Native Americans in South Dakota. They need them by Nov. 15. If you can help, it will be much appreciated.

A smile brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad and is nature’s best antidote for trouble.

Have a good week.
