Wow, what a drastic change in the weather Saturday morning, and it’s supposed to be again tomorrow. According to WRUS this morning, the early temp was only 31. So you know for sure I’ve got the heat on and it feels good. But we have to remember, this is only fall not winter… burrrr.
Retired professor Dr. Lynwood Montell, of Bowling Green, was down one day this past week so we did our usual thing and went riding around. I don’t know for sure where we all went, but it was over in the Olmstead way. I had not been in that territory in years, so we of course enjoyed that. We returned and went to Webb’s restaurant in Lewisburg for our good lunch. They even had fried green tomatoes. I sure did enjoy them. They have delicious food and the cook of the day was Lisa Stuart.
One night this week, Terry and Barbara hart and Maranda and Virginia Hart were supper guests with Terry and Barbara’s son and family Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hart and baby. Of course they all enjoyed the trip. I think they live somewhere around Auburn.
Jeffrey Borders, a young man in our church family, has been having medical problems. His last report was a good one. he doesn’t have to go back for a check up for six months. A praise report I’d say. Good for Jeff.
Then there is the report on Freida Borders Pitchford. She will be having surgery on the 29th I am supposing in Nashville. Hope she gets a better report.
Bro. Kinnith Morris, of Hopkinsville, and his sis Martine Brown, visited their brother Bob and Kay Morris in Missouri. Bob remains in a nursing facility there. Hope he is feeling better.
Bro. Carl Freudanthal was the guest speaker at Elk Lick again Sunday. We appreciate his coming. We had 74 in S.S. this morning, so lets keep the attendance up. If you are not in S.S., we wish you would get started and keep helping us grow, okay?
The coolest morning of this fall so far has been today Sunday. When WRUS said the temp got down to 27, to me I’m cold. But I can bet it’s gonna get a lot colder.
