Everyone seems to be in Florida at the beach or at Disney and here I sit writing my article and plan on working all week. What is wrong with this picture? Seriously, I hope everyone has a great fall break. When you get back it will just be a hop, skip, and jump till Thanksgiving, then Christmas. Where has 2015 gone? I remember vaguely how it seemed forever from one Christmas till the next, and now it seems I just put the tree away. Another sign of my age, I’m afraid.
Be in prayer for Christine Brown and family. Her husband, Ronnie, went home to heaven this past week. He had been sick for so long. I know Christine, Richard, and Stacy will miss him terribly.
Two great properties will be auctioned soon in Adairville. Either one would be a great opportunity for a young family. One is a historical older home that has been updated inside and the other is a nice brick home with lots of land available to be auctioned as well. I hope both properties sell good and we get good families in them. There are other good properties for sale as well. With the great school we have, we should get some good prospects interested in the homes.
Coffee Bottom Girl
When I lived in Coffee Bottom, we didn’t get a fall break, much less go to Disney. I dreamed of going to Disney Land as a young girl but knew it was only a dream. First we didn’t get a fall or spring break and second we didn’t have the money. So, I had to settle for watching the Mickey Mouse Club. It was really good. I thought Annette Funnicello was the luckiest person in the world to get to be one of the stars. I’m sure today the show would be cheesy to the kids, but I looked forward to it every week. Times were slower, so is my wrap-up for today. MIC (see you real soon) KEY (why, because I like you) MOUSE.
“May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, And the rain fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand”
