Hope you had a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.
We have got a little shower of rain here at my house this Monday evening. We sure do need some rain.
Christine White had to have a very serious surgery on Saturday afternoon. Please keep her and the family in your Prayers.
Talked to Jeanie Sears on Monday afternoon and her mother, Ms. Dorothy Hunt, was in the ICU unit with double pneumonia. Remember all the sick in your prayers.
Bro. Bob Barnes preached for us again Sunday morning as Bro. Clardy was on vacation. he will be back with us this Sunday. We sure did miss him, but we enjoyed having Bro. Barnes with us.
My cousin, Charlie Delk, read one of his poems for us on Sunday. We always enjoy hearing them.
Calvin Williams had the service Sunday night for Bro. Clardy. Calvin always does a good job.
Antioch Baptist Church Team Kids kickoff will be Wednesday night, Sept. 9 from 6-8 pm.m We will have a hay ride and wiener roast.
My cousin, Omanell Robertson in Florida called me Sunday afternoon. It is always good to hear from her. She wasn’t feeling as well, but had went to church Sunday morning.
Mark Thornberry will be leaving on Sept. 12 on a mission trip to South Dakota. He will return on Sept. 19th. Contact Mark if you can go and help repair the trailers for winter. His wife Kay will not be going on this trip.
Our reunion is just around the corner. Happy Hollow, Duncan Ridge, Johnson and White are anyone who would like to come. It will be a potluck meal, so bring your favorite food and join us. It will be held in the activities building behind Elk Lick Baptist Church. Doors will open around 1 p.m. We will eat around 5 p.m. Hope to see you there.
The senior adults will leave the church at 10 a.m. to go to East Meets West in Hopkinsville on Sept. 18. Melba Gibbs will be driving the church bus for us.
Giving freely honors the Lord, helps others and blesses us.
