Love like the Master!

It was 252 pages full of color and brilliant plans for trips of all kinds around this World. It came in the mail from a Deluxe World Class travel company. It is without doubt the largest catalog we have received as of yet. The company is clearly trying to entice my wife and me to use their services. We receive emails daily and special offers in the mail from time to time. It reminds me of how wonderful and beautiful the world is. It also keeps my eyes open to the diversity of our world.

The color of skin, language spoken or traditions practiced vary among people but there are some common needs in each person created by God. I personally think that the one most important need that all mankind has, is to be loved. But it is hard to love, especially individuals that hate and hurt.

God is love and His love in unlimited. I am a Child of God, which has received His Spirit. Therefore, I should strive to love as He loves, but again, that is hard. I can only work at it – daily, by trying to remember how unlovable I am – and how much God still loves me. I can also practice extending His love to others – daily, by looking in their eyes, and thinking of their hearts as God does.

As a struggling member of this World, I will not be able to travel to all of the earth. I may never be able to travel with the company that shares their information with me, but I can work at loving as I am loved. It will be hard, but with His help and as I try to me more like Him, surely I can make some progress.

Trying to be more like the Master,

Bro Gene
