It is that time again. How was your week? Did you get rain? I hear Glynn and Sue Copeland of Mayfield, former pastor, attended services last Sunday at Elk Lick. I know everyone enjoyed getting to see them.
My good neighbor Judy Jernigan has not been feeling very well and is seeing her doctor. Hope he finds her problem and she soon feels much better.
Thankfully Dr. Kamal found my problem. I have had one unit through the veins and will have to have 4 more. My body is not manufacturing iron like it should.
The annual Johnson homecoming is the third Saturday in September, which is the 20th. So make plans to attend. It will be at the activities building at the church, so please plan on coming. There will be a potluck and we always have a lot of good eats.
Bringing my supper Tuesday night was Lannie Jernigan. Thanks. Lannie and Judy’s granddaughter Kaitlyn is moving today to Murray as this is where she will begin her college career. We will miss her as she was a regular at church. But we wish her well.
Sue and James Fuller visited awhile Friday with son Tony and Marsha Fuller. She is not doing well at all. Remember them in your prayers.
Eating breakfast with Virginian Hart was her son Terry and granddaughter Miranda. Eating breakfast with her Saturday morning was son Ronny of Greenville.
Stanley and Elaine paid their respects to the John Roll family of Greenville Saturday night. This is the home where Stanley and Elaine got married by her step-dad Bro. Thomas Carver, now deceased. Mrs. Roll was one of the deceased last night. Our sympathy to he and the family.
We had another good rain here Sunday morning. Surly this will help with what gardens and other stuff are out there growing.
Mrs. Virginia Hart attended a family reunion Sunday at Orlinda, Tennessee. This was her mom’s side of the family, the “Cooks.”I’m sure she had a good time visiting everyone. That is a memorable time.
Two more Sundays in August, then of course it is September. My, my time just seems to fly by. Remember it won’t be long till Christmas, then another New Year, oh my.
Until then, have a good week. See ya!
