For a change we have had some rain this weekend. Not much, just enough to drip off the house for awhile, so I think before it quits, we will have a good rain. We sure need it. The crops, I understand, are drying up and that it not good.

I’ve had a busy week again. Did red tomato juice, yellow tomato juice and yellow tomatoes. I really am proud of the things I have been able to can and freeze. Sure will be good this winter.

Among some of the goodies that have been brought to me, Martha Harris brought this big cantaloupe and I really like those. Have you really heard me say that there was any food I didn’t like? I sure appreciate all the veggies that have been given to me.

On Wednesday visiting with Virginia Hart were niece Mary Russell and Rickey of Springfield. She enjoyed their visit. Son Terry was able to stop by and see them. Virginia, like me, has done a lot of freezi9ng and canning this summer.

I don’t know where you are at this time, but in Spa, it is lighting and thundering and coming a good rain, thank goodness.

I hear Wanda Coursey is in Sky for treatments. Hope she can get some of her strength back and feeling better.

Congratulations to Howard Wayne and Kathy Kissellbaugh as they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Friday the 8th and to ND&L’s Chris Cooper and her husband Bo on their 28th wedding anniversary this Friday the 15th.

Got a call Saturday from my cousin Omanel Robertson in hot and humid Florida. She was doing fairly well. They also need a rain. She said she had been eating a lot of tomatoes too. You know I think if I don’t have a tomato it doesn’t taste the same. They just make eating a lot better.

I had a very nice surprise Friday morning as a knock sounded. There stood Morris Kisselbaugh and Roger Nash. I really, really enjoyed their visit. They are Bob’s cousins. I did not know that Morris had recently had surgery, but seems to be doing very well. Do It again guys, you made my day.

Visiting awhile with James and Sue Fuller were friends Hazel and Pete Hadden of Gordonsville. They brought them some apples and Sue was glad to get them.

I didn’t make it to church this morning, with being anemic sometimes my strength is just gone. This week was one of those times.

Hope you have a good week. Make someone’s day, give a smile to whomever you meet. It will make them feel better.

See ya next time!
