For those of you people out there who are “sleepy heads”, this is for you. I am getting back to my old self again. You see when I got to this wonderful Senior Citizens Center, I would sleep and sleep. You know sleep is a beautiful thing. Especially when you can’t! Before I got here I would just wake up all hours of the night and just walk around! Of course I would wake the Hubby up since he is such a “light sleeper” and as always he would say, “Woman you can’t sleep if you are walking around”. I guess he is right. And of course I would go back to bed and just lay there.

Well, when I got here it was just like “man that bed looks so good”! I would just lay there and soak up the good “vibes” that came through my back. Of course once again, the Hubby said, “woman aren’t you gonna ever get out of that bed?” I told him I wish he would make up his mind. He replied, it’s supper time and there you are in the bed”. I guess I was TIRED TO THE BONE. My grandmother used to say that and I would just look at her and try to figure out just how that could be. But believe me when I got here I realized exactly just how she felt. Of course she is in heaven now and I bet she is dancing on those streets of gold. At least I hope so.

Now that it is time to go home, I feel I am back to normal. I wrote you lots of things I was doing here and as the Hubby would say, you are either here in the bed or gone doing something.

But as I said, this morning I feel like I am back to my “old self again”! I woke up “bright eyed and bushy tailed”. That is what my Granddaddy used to say when he got up early. I just thought, “Man this is wonderful”.

I discovered that here when it is dark, you hear things much clearer. The wind was blowing so hard; I could hear it hitting the walls outside. Of course the wind blows at the lake but here it is so strange to look out and see a palm tree instead of the “big old tree” in the front yard that gives me shade all summer. You would say, “A tree is a tree”. It doesn’t matter what kind it is but it’s different from my OLD KENTUCKY HOME tree. Does it sound like I am getting “home sick”? I guess so. I talk to my friends on the phone but it’s just not the same.

I hope you people are really seeing what is going on around you. Some of us are guilty of “LOOKING” but now seeing. The picture I see this morning is absolutely beautiful. The ocean is rolling in to the shore in big waves, the sky is dark and big black clouds are rolling through the sky and behind those clouds is a bright light that is sending rays out over the sky. What a picture! The wind is blowing so hard, I bet it blows those old dark clouds right out over the water. Just think this is one thing that MAN has no control over at all. Mother Nature is in command and I really think she does a pretty good job of giving us good weather. I know what you are thinking, she must have had a “real bad headache” when she created these past winter storms that we have had.

But isn’t it strange, I don’t care how bad ANYTHING is, we won’t remember it the next time we see a spring flower pop up in our flower garden.

Hope you have enjoyed your coffee with me this morning. Now that I am back to my old self I think I will make a “beauty shop” appointment and get my hair cut. Isn’t it strange how a trip to the beauty shop can cure a lot of things in your life? I am sorry guys; I don’t know a thing that can brighten your day. But since I am so “with it” this morning, I think I will make the Hubby a biscuit and sausage! He will think “he has died and gone to heaven”. You see that’s what he says all the time when I do something great. I must say, it is not very often.

Of course you know why I say, enjoy the moment for that is all we have. I bet you get so tired of reading that! You see I am reminding myself. Sometimes I forget. BYE NOW!
