Welcome from the cold, snowy town of Adairville. This is the first year I have ever seen it snow this close to Thanksgiving, I imagine its been a hectic week for everyone including me preparing for the holiday season.
431 Grill had karaoke with Clay Bilyeu last Saturday night, it was a packed house with many familiar faces and some new guests. everyone had a great time, thank you Clay for being so nice to all the staff at 431 Grill, we hope to get together again after the holidays.
Saturday November 30th is Small Business Saturday, where shoppers are encouraged to support their local small businesses, here in Adairville we have small businesses such as The Country Angel gift shop, the 431 Grill, the Adairville Hardware store, the Adairville B.P., Trimbles Service center, Trembles auto Parts, the Adairville Feed Mill, Headquarters Beauty Salon. I encourage everyone to shop at these local businesses and support your community.
Don’t forget that the Schochoh Christmas Parade is this Sunday December 1st, beginning at 2 p.m.
It is now beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Country Angel Gift Shop, stop bye and see what all the shop has to offer. They have some beautiful and unique items and gifts for children and adults.
It seems like my prayer list gets longer every week, our sympathy goes out to the family of Randy “Rambo” Ramsey a long time resident of the Adairville community, Randy passed away Friday November the 22nd at Skyline hospital in Nashville, to all of Randy’s family you have our deepest sympathy.
Marry Ann Davis is still in the hospital in Nashville, please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
Carol Hart is back in the hospital with pneumonia.
Granny Fay Beaty also has had a touch on Pneumonia but she is resting at home.
Please keep Nannette King and Ms. Jean Stenbergen in your thoughts and prayers as they are battling serious illnesses.
I would like to thank Wayne Stratton for praising my abilities as a young writer and telling me what a great job I am doing, thank you Wayne for having faith in me.
My shout out for this week goes out to Roger and Tina McDonald, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me an opportunity to work in your restaurant. You have been like another family to me always giving me advice and help when I need it, I could not ask for better employers then what God had given me when I started working at 431 Grill.
My other shout out for this week goes out to Gene Chrisman, not many people know this but Mr. Gene has played drums and recorded with many famous musicians such as Willy Nelson, The Highway Men, Johnny Cash, Elvis, and Jerry Lee Lewis just to name a few. You always put a smile on my face and make me laugh you are an intelligent and caring man and I am glad to call you my friend.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and are safe on their travels, we have do much to be thankful for.
