Greetings! A beautiful fall day in Spa. We are having cooler mornings. Gardens seem to be gone. Tobacco is being cut. Hay is being mowed and baled. So get ready for winter. Yuk, I dread it. I stay so cold. Oh well, you know Logan County weather, we just take it as it comes.
Visiting awhile Sunday afternoon with Virgina Hart were Jerry Hart, Terry Hart, Roger and Carolyn Gibson of Warren County, Gale Automellor of N. Carolina and Aunt Ann Marvell of Nashville. They had a good visit.
I am not a good neighbor and no one has to tell me, I already know. Just this week in talking to Ron Thornberry found out his daughter Sylvia has had a stroke. I think he said in July. She is a bit better, but according to the doctors and insurance, she is gonna be sent home under their care in a short while. My goodness the family needs prayer and other help I’m sure. She is a young lady only in her 50’s, so we never know what kind of shape we can get in. If you get a chance, encourage them they need it. She is in Creekwood.
Friday night was the “Come to my table” night and bringing my meal was Bethany Borders.
Sunday Lanny and Judy Jernigan met at Princeton with her side of the family for a time of fellowship. They met at the ambulance service where they has a rental room. There were 59 there with lots of good food and visiting.
And visiting awhile with Judy and Lannie this week were her sis Patsy Franklin and her brother Junior Mitchell. They ate KFC. I tell you, I really like their grilled chicken. Ah, it is delicious. They are from Greenville.
Tara is at home after a couple of days in Greenview. She had a staph infection in a leg, so she is okay.
Stacey Jernigan and Cassidy brought my supper to me on Monday night. I sure do appreciate Judy and her family for doing this.
I’ve had a bad week, vomiting and diarrhea, oh my that is a terrible feeling. Am over the worst? I sure hope so and I assure you, I do not ever ant it again.
