With Easter just over a week away, there is no shortage of egg hunting events for children in Logan County coming up in the next couple of weekends.
This weekend the festivities get started with the annual Adairville Easter parade and egg hunt for the kids.
The festivities in south Logan start at 1 p.m. and go until 4 p.m. with the egg hunt and parade. Other activities include kids’ games and a bake sale.
There are also several church-sponsored Easter activities this weekend.
New Vision Community Church will be sponsoring an Easter EGG-Stravaganza Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Logan County Extension Office. There will be free food, games, puppets, inflatables, face painting, an Easter egg hunt, and more fun! Children age 2 through the fourth grade will be registered for a grand prize just for stopping by. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the fun, rain or shine. Puppets provided by Adairville Baptist Church.
Also, Cornerstone Baptist Church will be having its Easter Eggstravaganza at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church at 1306 Highland Lick Road. This is a free Easter egg hunt event open to all children.
And if that wasn’t enough, there are even more egg hunt opportunities next weekend, including the annual Logan County Easter Egg Hunt, which will be Saturday, April 19, at noon on the softball field of the city-county Memorial Park. Prizes will be awarded in each age division. This event is sponsored by the Russellville Recreation Center, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion.
