Another theft arrest occurred in Logan County - one of several lately by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies received a report of metal and various items stolen from a farm in the Lewisburg area last week. During the investigation, deputies responded to the residence of David W. Shelton 47 and Dana M. Shelton, 34 of T. McReynolds Road. Further investigation led to the arrest of David Shelton along with Lucas P. Shelton of Spa Road on Oct. 15.
David Shelton was charged with failure to notify address change to the department of transportation, fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree (on foot) and theft by unlawful taking others $500 or more, but under $10,000. Dana Shelton was charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension, secondnd degree and Lucus Shelton was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, tampering with physical evidence and failure to notify address change tot he department of transportation.
Both David Shelton and Lucus Shelton were lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
