Candi Stratton of Russellville has moved her grooming business to the Nashville Road Animal Hospital, owned and operated by Dr. Bill Smith. Smith has been practicing veterinarian medicine on Nashville Road since 1982. Stratton says she is excited to be working with Dr. Smith and looks forward to offering her services to his customers, as well as her deciated clientele.
Stratton moved recently from working at the Russellville Small Animal Hospital after Dr. Jim Chambers closed his practice. Stratton worked with Chambers for over seven years, and although she is saddened about leaving such a great veterinarian, she feels she is moving to yet another great one just on the other side of town.
“I would like to let all of my former clients and future clients know that I am here at Dr. Smith’s and will continue to provide the same professional service as I have for my entire 14 year career. I love all of my clients and look at their beloved pets as parts of the family. I assure you the best quality along with a tender touch,” said Stratton.
Stratton began training for her profession in 2000. She said she became involved in the business for her love of animals and enjoys working with them. She strives to make both the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible during the grooming process.
“I don t want the pet or their owner to feel worry or stress during the grooming process,” said Stratton. “You have to spend the necessary time to insure all those involved feel comfortable.”
Stratton worked in Scottsville at Crocker for a year when she began, and then moved to the Animal Hospital on Campbell Lane in Bowling Green where she worked for six years before coming to work with Dr. Chambers.
Stratton and her husband Stephen, who is a captain at the Logan County Sheriff s Department, have three children, Talon, Thomas, and Tyler. She is a native of Logan County and graduated from Logan County High School.
Stratton invites all those who have grooming needs to call her and talk with her at 270-726-2389. She grooms and bathes all sizes of dogs and cats and realizes each pet is individualized, and she is looking forward to getting to know each one.
