State Representatives Martha Jane King and Brent Yonts helped Gov. Steve Beshear present a $435,000 ceremonial check to the Muhlenberg County Fiscal Court for improvements along Riverside Road near the Tennessee Valley Authority Paradise Fossil Plant in Drakesboro.
The project will stabilize and resurface Riverside Road and improve drainage along the route that handles nearly 400 TVA employees each day.
“These funds will provide much needed upgrades to the heavily traveled entrance to the plant,” said Rep. King. “Safety is a priority at TVA, and the road repairs will help ensure a better drive for workers who travel from Todd, Logan, Muhlenburg and other counties. We are grateful to the governor for making this important regional resource safer for our hard working TVA employees.”
