The Russellville Police Department made two arrests in October in connection with illegal drugs, and are searching for suspects wanted in connection with a burglary case.
On Oct. 2 police officers along with agents from the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force obtained information leading to the issuance and subsequent service of a search warrant for illegal narcotics at 1207 Nashville Street. Arrested at the scene were Gary Barnett and Stacy Hutchison. Both were lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.
Barnett was charged with Robbery, 1st degree (warrant), Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st degree (2 counts), Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hutchison was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
On Oct. 9 officers responded to 312 Cornelius Avenue in reference to a possible burglary in progress. Jeremy Vincent, who rents a house with Sherri Ritter, called and reported they had returned home and found both doors to the residence open and a light on inside. Vincent believed there may be someone still inside. Police officers checked the residence, however, they found no one. According to a police report, the perpetrators forced entry into the residence and removed several items of value.
If you have any information about this case, officers are asking you to contact the Russellville Police Department.
