Stevenson Elementary holds family dinner night

“It took our community pulling together to pull it off, but the Family Day celebration at Stevenson Elementary was a huge success,” says Carol Kees, Director of the Family Resource Center at Stevenson Elementary School. Mrs. Kees and assistant Debbie Elliot coordinated the efforts of several organizations to provide two seatings of a sit-down dinner, which included spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, and drinks, as part of the “National Family Day – A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Family” initiative.

The parents gave her sleeping pills so she would be quiet and still, to not attract attention to herself. They entered American with no papers, could not speak English, left behind family, and had very little money. I don’t understand.

RHS competes in first academic match

The Russellville High School Academic Team had their first meet of the season on Monday night, playing Owensboro Catholic and Madisonville North Hopkins in Pennyrile Academic Association league play in Madisonville.
