‘What America Means to Me’ essay contest winners

Each year, the Logan County Republican Women’s Club holds an essay contest for students in Logan County.

This year’s winners included, third-place tie: Madelyn Hughes, a fifth grader from Auburn, the daughter of Chris and Melanie Hughes; first place: Lauren Sierra Beaty, a six grade student from Olmstead, the daughter of Brandon and Christina Beaty; third place tie: Calloway Reeves Bills, a fifth grade student at Auburn, the son of Jim and Lara Bills; first place tie: Sara Kate McLellan, an eighth grade student at Olmstead, the daughter of Robbie and Debbie McClellan; second place tie: Price Violette, an eighth grade student at Olmstead, the son of Joseph and Brandi Violette; second place tie: Tommy Krohn, an eighth grade student at Olmstead, the son of Alex and Cindy Krohn; and secon place tie: Harrison Wilson, an eighth grade student at Olmstead, the son of Jimmy Kent and Melony Wilson.

The Olmstead winners are from Mr. Justin Adams’ Language Arts class and the Auburn winners are from Diane Pardue’s class.
